Hi ya’ll! I’m in Austin, TX for SXSW. A gardener at a music event? Naturally, that’s what puts the anarchy in gardening. So many goals, most of them unaccomplished.
Texans know hospitality. Upon arrival, we headed over to Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse for a PPK meet-up organized by Kristen of Sugar-Skull. I couldn’t be amongst better company.
Also in attendance was Crystal, artisan queso maker and author of Vegan Explosion and her fiance Chris, Molly, Wes, Becka, and a few others. We were so busy eating that some names were missed.
Big ups to Melisser The Urban Houswife. I’m eating my way through Texas using your guide!
Things to do in the next couple of days – I’m hoping to make it out to the famed Natural Gardener, they carry vegan soil, and a meet-up with Renee Studebaker of Renee’s Roots.
In the meantime, it’s more music, Hole, Dr. Dog, Street Sweeper, Off With Their Heads, OFF… Till next time!
As a former Texan I can say that Austin truly is the only city worth living in if you have to live in Texas. If you have a chance go visit the Wildseed Farm in Fredericksburg and then have some beers in Lukenbach.
